The Lantec team was approached by Weatherfield Academy to complete a site survey in preparation to bring their security system up to speed.
The Solution
After completing the site survey our team recommended the EntrySign system with a staff terminal for secondary sign in during busy periods. This helps to ensure staff are verified when entering the property
We also installed a Paxton Video Door Entry Intercom just outside the main reception, this way visitors will need to call to gain entry into the school. The school then release the door for visitors via the door entry monitor.
Finally, we installed Paxton Controllers to replace the schools existing stand alone door entry system, which is now a networked solution, whereby all doors are connected together and can be managed by the schools IT dept.

Visitors can now sign themselves in and out of the building which frees up office staff time with a very handy VR code. Fire drill information can be accessed via any device with a login and can be personalised for individual circumstances of the user. The system supports safeguarding requirements in schools, with all visitors having a photo ID when signing in, this has ticked loads of boxes and will grow with us for years to come.
